List of felonies

A felony is termed as a serious crime committed by the person that causes extensive damage to a person or a group of person. The state and the federal government has formed a list of felonies that can be classified into different types. The list of felonies in inexhaustible and lengthy  and can be amended from time to time. The U.S. federal includes 20 acts as a list of felonies mentioning the type of punishment that is levied for the suitable felony committed. Felony is serious crime which attracts severe punishment and even when the person is released from the prison he cannot live an easy life.  He should struggle for many years to rebuild credit history and he loses some rights also.

The list of felonies according to the u.s. government include :

1.       Physical or mental assault

2.       Committing any action by consuming drinks

3.       Misbehavior

4.       Vandalism

5.       Fraud

6.       Using intoxicating materials like drugs

7.       Drunken driving

8.       Crime against the family

9.       Opposing the liquor laws

According to the estimates of Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2007, 60% of the crime committed by the culprits is violence. Many people are induced to the first degree crime and this attracts severe punishment. The punishment attracted for the first degree crime which includes rape, murder, curfew, assault includes life-term imprisonment or even capital punishment. If a person commits second degree murder which includes fraud, using weapons, and other acts he is either sentenced to life-time imprisonment or a period of 20 years of imprisonment. The third degree crime includes activities such as stealing valuable assets, use of weapons, and person who commits it imprisoned for five to twenty years. According to the recent classification made, felonies are classified into six types. The sixth degree felony includes some acts such as trafficking, fraud or any other acts which do not cause much damage to the public. The list prepared by the State Federal government for commission of felonies include

a.       Felony committed against a person which includes assault, kidnapping, assault, brutal murders, massacre etc.

b.      Felony committed to damage the property such as robbery, theft, arson, burglary etc.

c.       Felony committed for the purpose of fighting for justice such as Perjury, Compounding, Misprision etc.

 

The felony can also be classified depending upon the intensity of crime committed such as

1.       Intensified Assault which includes an act that severely harms the person either takes away his life or causes him disability forever.

2.       Causing aggressive action to take control over a situation or gain power.

3.       Burglary of causing harm to a property

4.       Child abuse

5.       Kidnapping

6.       Fraud

7.       Theft

8.       Murder

9.       Illegal professional practice

10.   Rehearsal of violence

11.   Opposition

12.   Robbery

13.   Tampering
